Murphy & Young are specialist Timber Frame manufacturers based in Central Scotland providing the design, manufacture and installation of Timber Frames for structures nationwide.

Our expertise also extends to roof trusses/panels and engineered floors. All our dwellings are constructed using high performance and thermally efficient materials.

We can take you from the initial concept all the way through to detailed working drawings and completion of your project.

Studley Castle

We carried out this project on behalf of Robertson Timber Engineering to refurbish and extend an existing hotel to form a the Warner Leisure Hotel. Through sympathetic refurbishment and new build elements our works ensure the successful and sustainable future of this important heritage asset.

Carluke

This housing project was taken from a manufacturing stage on a labour only cost contract. The full package included, manufacturing and haulage of timber kit, erection of timber kit including roof and sarking. Job was successfully completed on a labour only contract for the interiors which entailed pre-plaster for service voids, first fix plasterboard, finishings and final fixes

 

Killearn

Our Killearn project was taken from an engineering stage through to design then to manufacturing, erect and wrapping the entire kit with strapping and weather board to take on the external facade of zinc.

North Sighthill

Murphy and Young Ltd completing the final stairwell roof for Deeside Timber Frame. A project finally coming to an end after 2 years of timber kit erection starting in March 2018. A total of 11 blocks of flats and terraced houses.
